Hi, Lesslie families!

 

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join the staff at Lesslie Elementary School as the assistant principal. I have often heard that Lesslie is the "hidden gem" of аÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û²éѯ, and that is the absolute truth. I am looking forward to collaborating with our dedicated staff, supportive families, and amazing students to continue providing a positive and enriching educational experience for all. Working alongside Dr. Dickson, my goal is to continue to pursue the excellence that Lesslie Elementary has been committed to since 1906.

 

On a personal note, I am originally from North Myrtle Beach. Growing up close to the ocean, my afternoons and summers were spent at the Eighth Avenue beach access or in my mom's classroom or office as I watched her prepare for the school year. Because of this, it's only natural that I chose to be an educator when I grew up. I moved to Rock Hill in 2015 to attend Winthrop University and graduated with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. I have also earned my M.Ed. in Education Administration and my Ed.D. in Curriculum Studies from the University of South Carolina. I am joining the Lesslie team after working as a third grade teacher, fifth grade teacher, and math instructional coach across town at Ebinport Elementary School. When I'm not at work, I enjoy reading, getting out in nature, trying new recipes, riding the Peloton, and traveling with friends.
